“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.”
~ Martin Luther King Jr.
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”
~ Margaret Mead
“The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.”
~ Lao Tzu
“It is always very difficult to go against the wind, and to stand up straight and say no,
when the easier path is to give in and go in the direction of the wind.”
~ Ghislain Picard, Chief of the Assembly of First Nations of Quebec and Labrador, speaking about the life of Elijah Harper*
“All that is necessary to triumph over bullying is for you and I to stand up, speak out–
do something to defend another person–and to create change! **
Silence destroys and in some cases kills. Don’t be silent, defend; defend yourself and others, starting today.
Use your voice to empower; use your voice to stop bullying. Teach kindness, compassion, empowerment, love.
We’ve all been bullied by someone, somewhere, sometime.
The bully, who is bullying, learned to bully because he/she was bullied…as a child.
He/She feels insecure and worthless, never having learned to calmly negotiate with kind words, not understanding true empowerment…
never really knowing love or inner strength, he/she relies on intimidation through might and fright, meantime he/she feels terrified.
Intimidation is bullying. State your truth with a calm confidence that you will be heard and respected.
Everything in life is a negotiation–learn to negotiate (don’t force your might, use gentle words).”
~ Ellen E Brock, The Creating Peace & Empowerment™ Anti-Bullying* Speaker Program & Workshops

ADVICE for CREATING PEACE:
Be grace. Be peace. Be calm.
Be the peace you want to see in the world. Be the change you want to see in the world.
Be the love you want to see in the world. Be the calm you want to see in the world.
It is necessary to triumph over bullying on a micro and macro level–for you and I to stand up and speak out, and to not remain a silent (fearful) witness to bullying.
To do something to empower and defend, creating peaceful change…one nanosecond at a time…starting with your corner of the world…finishing in all corners of the world. (Yes, I know the world is round!)
once the tables are all turned over, sit down and meditate or pray.
Reflect on people who have never raised a voice, sword, gun, bomb:
Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela, Jesus–naming only a few who encountered injustices.
The 1st step in creating a peaceful environment is to start by allowing your quiet sensitive voice to be heard, when it’s still quiet, and allowing other quiet voices to be heard, when it’s still quiet.
Speak your truth, quietly and with true inner strength & confidence. Then listen as another person speaks his/her truth.
Leave sarcasm, attitude & judgement out–if you want to be heard–for they are communication-blockers.
Speak up to defend yourself & others, every day! Starting today.
Be unafraid. Feel empowered. Even if you are afraid, still speak your truth. Find your inner still confidence.
Lastly, save yourself and walk away, find support, know you are worthy.
